Blood Orange Margarita with a Twist of Dried Blood Orange

G'day, mates! Today, we're going to share a recipe for a zesty Blood Orange Margarita that's sure to impress your mates at your next gathering. The secret ingredient? Our very own dried blood orange slices. Let's get into it!

Ingredients:

  • 60 mL of tequila (choose your favourite)
  • 30 mL of Cointreau (or any other orange liqueur)
  • 60 mL of fresh blood orange juice (about 1 large blood orange)
  • 30 mL of fresh lime juice (about 1 lime)
  • 1 tablespoon of agave syrup (or to taste)
  • Ice cubes
  • Salt for rimming the glass
  • 1 Airdd dried blood orange slice for garnish

Instructions:

  1. First, prepare your glass. Wet the rim with a lime wedge and then dip it into a plate of salt. Set it aside.

  2. In a cocktail shaker, combine the tequila, Cointreau, fresh blood orange juice, lime juice, and agave syrup. Fill the shaker with ice.

  3. Give it a good shake for about 15-20 seconds, or until the outside of the shaker becomes frosty.

  4. Strain the cocktail into your prepared glass filled with ice.

  5. Finally, garnish with an Airdd dried blood orange slice. The dried blood orange will slowly infuse the cocktail with its concentrated flavour, adding an extra layer of complexity to your drink.

  6. Serve immediately and enjoy responsibly!

This Blood Orange Margarita is a refreshing and vibrant cocktail that's perfect for any occasion. The dried blood orange slice not only adds a beautiful visual element but also a unique flavour that sets this margarita apart. Cheers to that!
